Price of eggs: ₹9 per dozen
Eggs bought: 12 dozen
Money spent = 9×12 = #108
Broken eggs = 1½ dozen
Eggs sold = 12-1½ = 10½ dozen = 21/2 Dozen
Price of eggs sold= ₹12 per dozen
Money earned by selling eggs = price of eggs sold × eggs remaining = 12×21/2=₹126
Profit/Gain=126-108=₹18
Profit%/Gain%= 18/108×100=16.66%

360 eggs is 30 dozens. So the Total Cost Price was 30x12= Rs 360.

Substracting the broken and rotten ones from the Total number of eggs bought,

360-(60+30)=270 i.e, 22.5 dozens.

The Total Selling Price= 22.5x15= Rs. 337.5

Since Total Selling Price < Total Cost Price. Hence it was a loss.

Therefore, Loss Percent= {(360-337.5)÷360}x 100 %

= 6.25%
