total distance = 48*8

= 384 km

time required = 6 hr

new speed = 384 by 6

= 64 kmph

increase in speed = 64 - 48

= 16 kmph

hope it helps

Answer:

16 km/h

.... distance=time×speed

48×8=384 km

now distance 384km

time. 6 hours

speed= distance÷ time

384÷6=64 km/h

he needs to increase 64--48= 16 km/h

hope you get this...
