Given that,

Height = 1.25 m

Time = 2 sec

We need to calculate the velocity

Using equation of motion

v=u+gt

Put the value into the formula

v=0+9.8\times2

v=19.6\ m/s

We need to calculate horizontal distance along the road

Using formula of distance

d=v\times t

Put the value into the formula

d=19.6\times2

d=39.2\ m

Hence, The horizontal distance along the road is 39.2 m.
