Answer:

The longitude of town X is 75°E.

Explanation:

If a person is travelling to east direction fro prime meridian he will gain time,as per question time of town X is 3 hour ahead from town Y its show that the town X is in east direction from town Y,

At every 15° person will gain 1 hour if he/she is travelling to east direction from prime meridian . Here town X is 3hour ahead from town Y which mean 3 hour :15 × 3= 45°

So, 45°+30°E=75°E
