Answer:

v = w √A^2-x^2

Maximum speed = Aw

Half the maximum speed = v = Aw/2

Which gives us,

Aw/2 = w√A^2 - x^2

or,

A/2 = √A^2-x^2

or,

A^2/4 = A^2- x^2

or,

x^2 = 3A^2/4

or,

x = +- √3/2 A = +-(1.732)(0.1)/2 m = +-(0.866 m)
