given, in a concave mirror
f= -50cm, m= -3, u = ?
so m=-3
then by magnification formula,
h2/ h1 = -v/u = -3
so -v = -3u
v = 3u -------(i)
now by mirror formula,
1/f=1/v +1/u
1/-50=1/3u+1/u (using i)
1/-50 =4/3u (takin lcm)
3u = -200
u = - 66.67cm
here is your answer
