Solution:
Let the principal be P
A.T.Q
Let the simple interest be S.I= P/2
Let rate of interest be R
Here time, T= 5 years
We know, S.I =( P×R× T)/100
P/2=( P× R× 5)/100
1/2= 5R /100
100/2 = 5R
50 = 5R
R= 10
Hence , the rate of interest (R) =10%
