Thus, SI= 6216-4200= Rs. 2,016

Time period- 8 yrs

SI= (R×T×P)/100

= 2016= (R×8×4200)/100

= 2016= (R×33,600)/100

= 2016= (R×336)/1=  336 R

=2016/336=R= 6

The rate of interest is 6% p.a.
