Let Principle = x

Then Given ;

  • SI = 3x
  • R = ?
  • T = 20 yrs.

Thus SI = PRT/100

  • 3x = (x × R × 20)/100
  • 3 = 20R/100
  • 3 = R/5
  • R = 15%

let the principle be rs x

Amount = rs 3x

SI = A – P

= 3x– x

= 2x

SI  = \frac{p \times r \times t}{100}  \\ 2x =  \frac{x \times r \times t}{100}  \\ R =  \frac{2x \times 100}{x \times 20}  \\ R = 10\%
