Solution :-

Given -

Principal = Rs. 3750

Time = 4 years

Rate of Interest = ?

Also given that Simple Interest on Rs. 3750 in 4 years = 1/5th of Rs. 3750 = 3750*1/5 = Rs. 750

Simple Interest = (P*R*T)/100

750 = (3750*R*4)/100

⇒ 15000R = 750*100

⇒ R = 75000/15000

⇒ R = 5 %

Simple Interest in 15 years -

S.I. = (3750*5*15)/100

S.I. = Rs. 2812.50

Amount = Principal + Simple Interest

Amount = 3750 + 2812.50

Amount = Rs. 6562.50

GIVEN:

Principal(P) = ₹ 3750
Time(T) = 4 years
Interest(S.I) = 1/5 (3750) = ₹ 750

Formula of Simple Interest:
S.I =( P×R×T) /100

R = (SI x 100) / (P x T)
= (750 x 100) / (3750 x 4)
R= 5%

Hence, the rate of interest(R) is 5%.

Principal = Rs 3750
Rate = 5%
Time = 15 years

SI = (3750 x 5 x 15) / 100
S.I=₹ 2812.5

Amount(A) = Principal(P) + Interest(S.I)

A= P+ I

= 3750 + 2812.5
= ₹6562.50

Hence , the amount is = ₹ 6562.50.
