let the principle = X
then, Amount = 3x
SI = Amount - principle
=> 3x - x
=> 2x
Time = 16 years

Rate = si×100/p×t
=> 2x×100/x×16
=> 2×100/16
=> 100/8
=> 12.5

So, the rate percent is 12.5%

Answer:

Data.

A= 3P

T= 16 years

R= ?

Solution.

Suppose P= 100

Than, A= 3P

= 3(100) = 300

S.I= A-P

= 300-100 = 200

Using formula

R= I * 100/P*T

= 200 * 100/ 100 * 16

= 20000/ 1600

= 25/2

= 12 1/2 or 12.5

So, the Rate Percentage is 12.5
