At what rate percent per year will a sum double itself in 6¼ years?

given,
time= 25/4
let principal be 100
then , double itself= (2×100)=200
A=200
SI = A-P
= 200-100
= 100
rate = SI×100/P×T
= 100×100/100×6.25
= 10000/625
= 16%
Hence, the required rate is 16%
