when the water will started boil it's Kelvin scale is 373K (100°c).when we supply heat energy to water till it's change its state ..this heat energy called latent heat .The word latent means hidden.

As the temperature increases, the solid state changes to liquid state and liquid state changes to gaseous state. The heat energy that is supplied to water till it changes its state is called as latent heat.

Water boils at 100°C temperature that can be written as,
