Solution:

The speed of sound in dry air

V = 331.4 + 0.6T

So, velocity at 0°C

= 331.4 + 0 = 331.4 m/s

So, temperature at which velocity is doubled

2 × 331.4 = 331.4 + 0.6T

Hence, T = 552.33°C

Thus, 552.33°C is the temperature will the velocity of sound be double of its value at 0°C.
