answer:

tungsten wire gives white light at about 2550℃ or 4600℉  or 2810.15°K

(it produces a red glow at lower temperatures)

Tungsten is a metal with the symbol W and atomic no. 74,

it has the highest melting point of all metals and hence can withstand such high temperatures without melting ( it does glow though).

it has a high tensile strength and isn't brittle

and it doesn't evaporate very easily at high temperature either...

so they are used at the filament for a light bulb
