From birth to the end of 12 months the Diptheria vaccine has been given, that too, regularly.
D.P.T.-Hib R.V. is a triple vaccine against diptheria, whooping cough/pertussis and tetanus and Haemophilus influenzae type B and Rota virus.
Three doses of the vaccines have been induced (commonly oral doses, which is take through the the mouth or the oral cavity like polio vaccine) at regular intervals for the best methodical immunisation, 4 to 6 weeks, usually, starting from the tenure of 2nd month. It is done basically to get adapted to the virus and bacterium as there is an involvement of a booster dose. Immunisation rate is around 90-99% done for supporting the booster development in the future.
A second D.P.T. vaccine has been given during the period of 18 to 24 months, which is a bivalent vaccine against diptheria and tetanus respectively. It is a booster dose and provides 100% immunisation if done correctly.
