When you first start up, Google Maps displays a satellite view of North America. You can then zoom in, or pan the camera around to see any location on Earth. You can also type in the address of the location that you want to see. Once you do that, you'll get a free satellite view of your houseSatellite images like Google Earth are cool, but of course it's limited to images that are days, weeks or even year old. There are times that you would like to see realtime overhead imagery (who's that at the door?), but sadly that privilege is restricted to the NSA, CIA, MI6 and the rest of the alphabet soup.Download Process: You can search by address or Path/Row or your GIS data that set area of interest. Once you set your area of interest then assign the image captured date range, then click on Datasets button. Select the proper type of satellite to get the results from the Landsat Archive or Landsat Legacy.
