Image by Concave Lens:

  • Irrespective of the position of the object concave lens always produce image which is located in between the focus and the optical centre of the lens.

  • The image characteristics are : Image is virtual, erect and diminished.

  • See the ray diagram to get a clear picture.

  • One paraxial ray undergoes refraction through the lens and gets diverged. Another ray passing through the optical centre goes undeviated.

  • These two rays meet to form the image.
