Hello Friend,

We Know,

F = 9/5 x C + 32

Equating both scales, °F = °C, we get,

C = 9/5 x C + 32

C - 9/5 x C = 32

-4/5 x C = 32

C = (-32 x 5)/4 = -40.

Similarly,

F = 9/5 x F + 32

F - 9/5 x F = 32

-4/5 x F = 32

F = (-32 x 5)/4 = -40.

Therefore at -40 point celsius and fahrenheit shows same temperature. i.e). -40°F = -40°C.

Hope it helps...
