Yes, the fundamental rights are basic to our constitution. After preamble, fundamental rights are the most important part of our constitution. They are enshrined in Part III, article 12-35 in the Constitution. There are six fundamental rights which include Right to Equality, Right to Freedom, Right against Exploitation, Cultural and Educational Rights and Right to Constitutional Remedies.

Fundamental rights are basic and fundamental to our constitution. They protect the individual from the oppression of sate and also protects from becoming autocrat and dictator. They ensure an individual to express himself fully. These rights are basic and fundamental as if these are violated, the individual can move to the Supreme court.

The fundamental rights ensure an individual to live in peace and harmony, enjoy equality and freedom. The Right to Constitutional Remedies has been described by B.R Ambedkar as the 'heart and soul' of Indian constitution.
