so Athul cut=x/6
Jhon cut=x/3
Binny cut=x/5
Alex cut=x/4

to find greatest among them we must find the lcm of denominators
LCM=30
$so \: no.= \frac{10x}{60} \: \: \: \frac{20x}{60} \: \: \: \frac{12x}{60 } \: \: \: \frac{15x}{60}$
greatest no. =20x/60
so greatest among them is of Jhon

Let length of string be x.

Athul divides it into 6 parts.

So, each part length = x/6.

John divides it into 3 parts.

So, each part length = x/3.

Binny divides it into 5 parts.

So, each part length = x/5.

Alex divides it into 4 parts.

So, each part length = x/4.


As you know, if numerator is constant. Then Lesser the value of Denominator bigger the value of fraction.

Thus, John has string of greatest length. That is x/3.
