Atmospheric electricity is the study of electrical charges in the Earth'satmosphere (or that of another planet). The movement of charge between the Earth's surface, the atmosphere, and theionosphere is known as the global atmospheric electrical circuit. Atmospheric electricity is an interdisciplinary topic, involving concepts from electrostatics, atmospheric physics, meteorology andEarth science.
hope it's helps uh

Anonymous: An important part of the reason for electric fields in the atmosphere is the ionosphere. It is a part of Earth’s atmosphere that is electrically conductive. The reason it is conductive is that ultraviolet radiation from the Sun ionizes the gas at that altitude, i.e. separates some electrons from the atoms in which they normally reside, leaving a free electron, with negative charge, and an ion, i.e. an atom with net charge, in this case positive.
