Atom contains electrons, protons and neutrons. Atomic no of an atom is the no of
protons present in an atom where as atomic mass is the sum of protons and
neutrons. In a neutral atom no of protons are equal to no of electrons. There are 3
elements X,Y and Z. Number of Protons in element X is 6 and number of neutrons is
also 6.Element Y Contain 6 Protons and 8 neutrons. Number of Protons in element Z is
11 and Mass Number is 23. (1x4)
(1) Find out mass no of Element X
(2) what is the atomic number of element Y
(3) What is the relation between elements X and element Y
(4) Find out number of neutrons in element Z.

Answer:

Atoms consist of three basic particles: protons, electrons, and neutrons. The nucleus (center) of the atom contains the protons (positively charged) and the neutrons (no charge). The outermost regions of the atom are called electron shells and contain the electrons (negatively charged).
