there can't be half proton( not any proton) in an atom.......every proton has 1 value each.( which is not fraction) ... So Mass no. is always a whole no.( starting from 0 to infinity)

and I said there is no. an atom which has mass no. as 0.....So I said that Mass number can't be whole no.( whole no includes 0)...I think Mass no. should be natural no. :)

Atomic mass is never an integer number for several reasons: The atomic mass reported on a periodic table is the weighted average of all the naturally occuring isotopes. Being an average it would be most unlikely to be a whole number. The mass of an individual atom in atomic mass units is the mass relative to carbon-12.
Was not he asking about mass number....you are answering about atomic mass......
