Answer:

Atomic mass of elements

Explanation:

Atomic mass of an element is the sum of the protons and neutrons of that element.

Eg: Na (Sodium)

p+ (protons)= 11

e- (electrons)=11

n (neutrons)=12

Atomic mass of Na= p+ + n

Atomic mass of Na= 11+12

Atomic mass of Na=23

Hence, atomic mass of element Sodium is 23.....

Hope its clear....

Answer:

  • atomic mass of an element = mass of an atom / 1 atomic mass unit
  • 1 amu = 1.66 x 10^-24
  • mass of hydrogen atom is = 1.67 x 10^-24 grams
  • atomic mass of hydrogen = 1.67 x 10^-24/ 1.66 x 10^-24
  • 1.008
  • 1
  • atomic mass of oxygen = 16
  • atomic mass of helium =4
  • atomic mass of calcium =40
