Appropriate Question :-

Atomic number 3 and mass number 7 calculate the number of neutrons ,protons and electrons

Given :-

Atomic number of an element is 3 and mass number is 7 .

To Find :-

No. of Electrons , protons and neutrons .

Solution :-

Here given that ;

  • Z = 3
  • A = 7

We knows that ;

 \quad \qquad { \bigstar { \underline { \boxed { \boxed { \sf  { \orange { No. \: of \: protons \: = No. \: of \: electrons \: = Atomic \: no } } } } } } { \bigstar } }

⇒ No. of protons = 3

⇒ No. of electrons = 3

Let us assume that ;

  • No. of neutrons = N

We knows that ;

 \quad \qquad { \bigstar { \underline { \boxed { \boxed { \sf { \orange { A = Z + N } } } } } } { \bigstar } }

⇒ 7 = 3 + N

⇒ N = 7 - 3

⇒ N = 4

Henceforth , no. of electrons , no. of protons and no. of neutrons are 3 , 3 and 4 respectively .
