Required Answer:-

Atomic number of ‘A’ is 11.

Electronic configuration of ‘A’ will be 2,8,1.

Hence:

  • The element is Sodium (Na) as its Atomic number is 11.

Also,

Atomic number of ‘B’ is 20.

Electronic configuration of ‘B’ will be 2,8,8,2.

Hence:

  • The element is Calcium (Ca) as its Atomic number is 20.

 \\

Therefore:

Metal ‘A’ is more reactive than metal ‘B’.

 \\

Reaction:

\large{\underline{\boxed{\sf 2Na + 2HCl \longrightarrow 2NaCl + H_2}}}

Where,

  • Na → Sodium
  • HCl → Hydrochloric acid
  • NaCl → Sodium chloride
  • H2 → Hydrogen
