On moving down the group progressively the ●number of shells(denoted by principal quantum number) increases reason being the increase in atomic number down the group.
thus
●distance of electrons (outermost electron) from nucleus increases
which in turn increases the atomic radii.

hope it helps
pls correct me if i m wrong..

the reason behind this is that as we move down in a group the atomic number of elements increases which means that the number of electrons also increases ...therefore the number of shells also increases which are the reason for the increase in atomic radius...hope it will help you
