Atomic size of neon is more due it's structural stability.

thatonenerd: the stability of an elements outermost electron**
Anonymous: but the atomic size decreases on moving left to right
thatonenerd: but the increase down a group
thatonenerd: and neon is a noble gas
thatonenerd: it has all electrons including those in the outermost orbit completely filled
