Answer: (B) Carbon

Explanation:

1 Atomic mass unit is defined as (1/12)th mass of a ¹²C isotope. Thus atomic mass of an element is relative and carbon-12 atom mass is taken as the standard for comparing.

sinhaaaryan27: The answer is carbon. This is true because all elements in the periodic table have their mass relative to Carbon-12 and also due to % abundance. If we change the standard, all the masses will have to change!!
