Answer- Let's know what atomicity is.

Atomicity- Number of atoms that constitute a molecule is called as its atomicity.

For example- Molecules of some elements like: Helium(He) are made up of one atom. So, it is a monoatomic molecule. One molecule of Hydrogen contains two atoms of hydrogen and thus, it is diatomic molecule.

In the given question, we need to find the atomicity of HCl i.e. Hydrochloric Acid.

HCl is made up of two atoms: 1 atom of Hydrogen and 1 atom of Chlorine.

So, the atomicity of HCl= 2.

==> HCl is a diatomic molecule.
