Friend A: Do you know my friends have refused to raise my pocket money?

Friend B: Same here; my parents say the cost of living is rising alarmingly.

Friend A: They are right in their place. The cost of living is really rising; the cost of basic essentials eats up all earnings.

Friend B: Yes, for example the fuel prices rose so steeply. How can an ordinary citizen with meagre means hope to live comfortably?

Friend A: The prices of food grains, vegetables, pulses, fruits, cooking gas, clothes, medicines, etc. are riding constantly.

Friend B: The Government has failed miserably. It must make more efficient policies to provide commodities of everyday needs to people at reasonable rates.

Friend A: It must take strict action against hoarders.
