When we wrote civil services in 1989, the maximum age was 26 years only for general candidates and number of attempts were only three. There was no reservation/ age relaxation for OBC. This age was increased from 26 to 28 years in CSE 1990. Gradually in has been increased to 32 years for general category recently.
