\boxed{Answer} :-

Dear ,here effervescence means bubbles .

Coming to your answer ,

We had been given that a COMPOUND of CALCIUM reacts with HCL and forms CaCl2.

Let’s find out the has evolved first.

Conditions are :-

•It extinguishes Burning candle

•Turns lime water milky

>>The gases used in extinguishers is CARBON DIOXIDE .

>>The gas which turns lime water into milky white precipitate is CARBON DIOXIDE.

*So,the gas evolved is \mathfrak{Carbon/:Dioxide}

Now , reaction is -

Word equation :-

Calcium carbonate + Hydrochloric acid —> Calcium chloride + Carbon dioxide+Water

Skeleton equation :-

CaCO3 + HCl —> CaCl2 + CO2 + H2O

Balanced equation :-

CaCO3 + 2HCl —> CaCl2 + CO2 + H2O

Why did we take calcium carbonate as a reactant ?

As per question , CO2 is evolved which means one of the reactant is

Either a Metal Carbonate or Metal bi carbonate

When they reacts , their products will be salt ,water,Carbon dioxide.

We have given salt as CaCl2 so we took CaCO3 .
