- 1==> The Chauri Chaura incident occurred at Chauri Chaura in the Gorakhpur district of the United Province, British India on 5 February 1922, when a large group of protesters, participating in the Non-cooperation movement, clashed with police, who opened fire.
- In retaliation the demonstrators attacked and set fire to a police station, killing all of its occupants.
- The incident led to the deaths of three civilians and 22 or 23 policemen. Mahatma Gandhi who was strictly against violence halted the Non-cooperation Movement on the national level as a direct result of this incident
- 3==> Mahatma Gandhi decided to call off the Civil Disobedience movement in 1931.
- On 5th March 1931, Mahatma Gandhi entered into a pact with Lord Irwin the viceroy of India known as the Gandhi-Irwin Pact. He agreed to participate in the Round Table Conference to be held in London.
- In December 1931, Mahatma Gandhi visited London but came back disheartened as the negotiations did not reach any final decision.
- On his arrival in India, he found that several Congress leaders had been arrested the Congress was declared an illegal party.
- Mahatma Gandhi hence re-launched the Civil Disobedience Movement but it lost its momentum by 1934.

The incident of Chauri Chaura took place in the year 1922 where the police opened fire on the supporters of non cooperation movement.
In the year 1932, the communal award was declared by the British government to have a separate electorate for the depressed classed.
The roundtable conference was termed for the various meeting the British Government had with the Indian representatives to give shape to the Indian Constitution. It was held in London.
