time period = 1/frequency

so ,
time period for 20Hz = 1/20 = 0.05 sec

time period for 20kHz = 1/20× 10^3 = 5 x 10^-5 sec

hence, audible range in time period

5 x 10^-5 to 5 x 10^-2 sec

we know that time period (T) is indirectly proportional to frequency (ν).

                                  T  = \frac{1}{ν}

for 20 Hz  (let's take time period  as  T_{1} )

                                  T_{1}  =   \frac{1}{20}

                                        T_{1}     =  0.05 s

for 20000 Hz (let's take time period as T_{2} )

                              T_{2}  =    \frac{1}{20000}

                                      T_{2}   =    0 . 00005 s

         The time period of the audible range is from 0.05 s to 0.00005 s
