(a) Diabetes mellitus - It is a metabolic disorder characterized by abnormally high sugar levels for a long time in the blood.
(b) Insulin - Hormone that helps to maintain the blood sugar level from becoming too high (hyperglycemia) or too low (hypoglycemia). It is produced by the pancreas.
(c) iv) Low sugar and high fiber diet. - Following a healthy diet regimen is important to prevent and manage diabetes mellitus. Diabetic diet is rich in whole grains and fiber, good fats like polyunsaturated fats found in nuts, etc.
