Ausable is a secret agent. But he was unlike the secret agents we see in movies and dramas. He was very fat man. He spoke French and German in American accent. He had come to Paris before twenty years from Boston. He didn't had any ladies surrounded by him any slipping messages into his pocket. He had an office in a musty hotel that too on the sixth floor instead of having underground chambers and secret rooms. He didn't had any luxurious car and any bodyguards. But when he saw Max he became calm and cooked up a fake story and made him realise that there is a balcony. Due to his extraordinary presence of mind he was able to come out of this situation. He was a factful person.
