Aryabhatta, an Indian scholar and teacher who lived back around 476 AD to 550 AD. The birthplace of the Mathematician was found to be in Kerala and it has also been found that he left his birthplace in a pursuit of education.
He was educated by the Nalanda University about astronomy and Mathematics. He was the first person to coin that the Sun is located at the centre of the solar system and all the other planets are revolving around it. According to the records, Aryabhatta had coined the heliocentric theory before Copernicus who coined the same theory in the Western world.
Aryabhatta’s contributions to mathematics and astronomy are still considered as extraordinary. It has been found that Aryabhatta had made all his contributions without any modern equipment and tools. He solved many astronomical mysteries with dedication and hard work.
