Autotrophs :- The mode of nutrition in which organisms synthesize their food from simple inorganic substances like carbon dioxide and water(present in environment) in the presence of sunlight is called autotrophs.

Heterotrophs :- In heterotrophic mode of nutrition, organisms cannot prepare food on their own. These organisms are termed as heterotrophs. e.g. humans, animals, non-green plants.
