Average of X, Y, Z is 24, X:Y = 2:3, X+Y = 60, then find X-Z=?

X+Y=60......<1>

X=60-Y........<2>

Since,x:y=2:3. ;x/y=2/3

Therefore,

60-y/y=2/3

(60-y)3=2y

Y=36........<4>

Putting value of y in <1>, we get,

X=24.......<5>

Now,

{X+Y+Z}/3=24.....{given}

From <4>&<5>,

60+Z=24*3

Z=12.......<6>

Thus,

X-Z=24-12=12...
