Let the total no. of employees be T and no. of male employees be M.

Then, the total no. of female employees= T-M

We know that,

or, Total Salary Paid= 3000T .........(eq.1)

$AverageSalary (Men)=\frac{Total SalaryPaidToMen}{Total No.ofMaleEmployees(M)}= 3200$

or, Total salary paid to men= 3200M ........(eq.2)

$AverageSalary (Women)=\frac{Total SalaryPaidToWomen}{Total No.ofFemaleEmployees(T-M)}= 2200$

or, Total salary paid to women= 2200(T-M) .........(eq.3)

From eq. 1, 2 and 3,

Total salary paid= Total salary paid to men + Total salary paid to women

3000T= 3200M+ 2200(T-M)

or, 3000T= 3200M+ 2200T- 2200M

or, 3000T- 2200T= 3200M- 2200M

or, 800T= 1000M

or, M/T= 800/1000= 8/10

Now,

Percentage of men= (M/T) X 100= (8/10) X 100= 80%

Percentage of women= 100-80= 20%

Therefore, the percentage of men and women in the company are 80% and 20% respectively.
