Given:

The total number of days = 25

The average temperature of a place in 25 days = 15°C

The average of 4 days which was 14°C by mistake taken as 16.5°C

To find:

The original average temperature of that place within that duration.

Step-by-step explanation:

The sum of the temperature of a place in 25 days ⇒ 15\;\times\;25 = 375

The actual total temperature value of 4 days is given by

14\;\times\;4 = 56

The mistaken total temperature value of 4 days is given by

16.5\;\times\;4 = 66

Now,

The original average temperature ⇒ \frac{375+56-66}{25}\;=\;14.6^\circ C

Answer:

The original average temperature of that place within that duration is 14.6^\circ C
