HELLO DEAR,

To find average velocity the oblique projectile during its total flight .

SOLUTION:-average velocity= displacement / time.

let the angle of projectile be ∅.

Here , displacement = Range.

By using projectile motion ,

   Range= u²sin2∅/g .......i)

   and time = 2usin∅/g .......ii)

So, average velocity = displacement/time

   = u²sin2∅/g  ÷ 2usin∅/g

   = u^2sin2∅/g ×g/2usin∅

  = u²2sin∅cosQ/2sin∅

                    [sin2∅ = 2sin∅cos∅]

  = ucos∅.    Answer.

I HOPE IT'S HELP YOU DEAR,

THANKS

Given : oblique projectile

To Find : average velocity of the oblique projectile during its total flight is

Solution :

Simpler wat to find Average Velocity

Let say velocity V at angle α

& Time of Flight = T

Vertical Velocity = VSinα

Horizontal Velocity = Vcosα

in oblique projectile  Vertical Distance in total flight  = 0  ( as its starts from ground & come to ground)

Horizontal Distance = Vcosα  * T

Net Distance = √0² + (Vcosα  * T )²  = Vcosα  * T

Average Velocity  = Vcosα  * T / T

= Vcosα
