Average velocity : The average velocity of an object is its total displacement divided by the total time taken.
(Please check the attached image)

Are both the equations
(TOTAL DISPLACEMENT)/(TOTAL TIME TAKEN) and
(v+u)/2
the same? Or are their use based on the situation or question(i.e, both are different)

Please give me the answer in detail and do show an example to prove your statement.

both are the same
final velocity means V
initial velocity means U
avg. believe. =V+U/2

amritaSN04: tysm.. but could u explain the statement in the image
amritaSN04: ??
yuvraj0041: i don't know how image can be added in this could you tell me
amritaSN04: no I meant that whether u can explain what the statement is in the image I have given in my question
yuvraj0041: ok
amritaSN04: thnks
yuvraj0041: here it is given that If velocity is changing uniformly then we can use it
amritaSN04: oh
