Aves are evolved from reptiles . justify the statement .

I read in chapter of heridity and evolution of class 10 that scientists were discovered that the Aves are evoved from reptiles.These was proved through a bird name Archaeopteryx whose feathers attached to forelimbs were used for gliding and possibly flying and also have teeth and stream lined body covered with feathers .Bones were solid (non pneumatic) like those of reptiles.
