Avi sold his bicycle for an amount which was greater than rs. 1967 by half the price he paid for it and made a profit of rs. 600 . How much did he pay for the bicycle?

Profit made on first cycle :5 percent

I.e. , selling price of first cycle

2500 * 5/100

125 rs.

So, he made profit of 125 rs on the first cycle

Profit to be made on another cycle : 20%

I.e., selling price of second cycle should be :

2500*20/100

500rs.

2500+500=3000rs.

Hence, he should sell his second bicycle of rs 3000 in order to make twenty percent profit
