Avik speed when he is running the third round = 27/8  m/s  = 3.375 m/s = 12.15 km.hr

Explanation:

circular track of length 600 metres.

Avik completes the first round in 2 min 24 sec

2 min 24 sec = 144 sec

Speed in 1st round =  600/144   m/s

= 50/12 m/s

= 25/6  m/s

Speed in 2nd round = (25/6) - (10/100)(25/6)  m/s

= (25/6)(1 - 10/100)

= (25/6)(9/10)

= 225/60

= 15/4  m/s

Speed in 3rd round  = (15/4)  - (10/100)(15/4)

= (15/4)(9/10)

= 135/40

= 27/8  m/s

Avik speed when he is running the third round = 27/8  m/s  = 3.375 m/s

27/8 m/s   = 12.15 km.hr

Answer:

t = 2 min 24 = 2+24/60 min = 2+2/5 min = 12/5 min = 12/(5×60) = 1/25 h

d = 600 m = 600/1000 km = 3/5 km

speed = 3/5 ÷ 1/25 km/h = 3×25/5 km/h = 15 km/h

at the third round his speed =

15 \times \frac{90}{100} \times \frac{90}{100}15×
