There are 2 methods.
1.Let us assume total stickers to be x.
1/3x given away.
Remaining 2/3x.
2/3x-5/6(2/3x) = 80.
Solving, we get
2x/18=80
x= (18×80)÷2=720.
2. 2/3x has been divided into 6 parts, right?
We know remaining is 80. ie. 1/6th part.
Therefore, 80×6= 480= 2/3x.
x= (480×3)÷2 =720.
In school u will be asked to solve by 1st method.
2nd is a logical approach and a good way to check your answer.
