Answer:

Yes it is true that we should avoid plastics as far as possible because these are non biodegradable substances which can pollute our environment as it do not decompose and does not mix with the soil thus it makes the soil polluted and less fertile. Moreover when tried to decompose by burning it produces a lot of harmful cases which are harmful for animals, living beings and our environment too.The gases which are produced by burning plastics are methane, carbon dioxide, nitrogen etc which are much harmful for all the creatures living in the earth.

Hope this helps!

Explanation:

Yes, we should avoid plastics as far as possible because they are so lightweight, plastic bags get easily picked up by wind and travel long distances by wind and water to pollute the nature. Plastic bag litter has even caused great problems in some areas. ... Unfortunately, such a high level of pollution doesn't come without consequences.

Chlorinated plastic can release harmful chemicals into the surrounding soil, which can then seep into groundwater or other surrounding water sources, and also the ecosystem. This can cause a range of potentially harmful effects on the species that drink the water.
